In June 2025, Taoiseach Micheál Martin visited the Narrow Water Bridge in Co. Louth. The new cross-border bridge is the flagship project of the Shared Island funding by the Department of An Taoiseach and is being constructed by Louth County Council. The bridge is due to be completed in late 2027.
